Interventional Pain Management

Interventional pain clinic, introduced by Jagrani Hospital, treats different types of pain, including acute and chronic back, leg, neck and arm pain, cancer pain and nerve pain. The clinic will also be very effective in treating pain due to singles, compression fractures and complex regional pain syndrome. Interventional pain medicine utilizes a multidisciplinary approach, in which Jagrani Hospital’s expert team of health care professionals will work together, to provide a full range of treatments and services for patients suffering from chronic and acute pain.

The services will include all the patients who are suffering from chronic pain (pain more than 12 weeks) in spite of all conservative management (including medical management & physical therapies) irrespective of etiology. And Cancer pain with palliative care services.
Broadly it includes – Chronic Low Back pain +/- radiculopathy , Cervical pain, lower limb, pain, Joint pain, trigeminal neuralgia and other neuralgias , urogenital pain, cancer pain and palliative care services.
Management will include – identifying the pain generator (cause), its specific treatment with medical management and interventional therapies.
Interventional therapies included –

1.    For low back pain with or without radiculopathy – myofascial trigger point injections, intradiscal therapies, nucleotomy, nucleoplasty, Intradiscal radiofrequency pulse RF, Facet joint injections, Medial branch RF ablation, sacro-iliac joint injection,      transforaminal epidural injections, transforaminalneuroplasty, Caudal neuroplasty/ Adhesiolysis.
2.    Cervical pain  – myofascial trigger point injections, cervical epidural steroid injections ,cervical facet joint injections
3.    Neurolysis of sympathetic ganglion for cancer pain: Gassarianganglion ,Stellate ganglion, Coeliac ganglion, Splanchnic nerve block, superior hypogastric  ganglion , ganglion impar. (for example – Ca breast, Ca GB, Ca Liver, Ca Stomach, Ca colon ,Ca rectum , Ca Cervix etc)
4.    Neurolytic block of lumbar sympathetic chain – in cases of peripheral vascular diseases.
